Partial Hospitalization Program Pennsylvania: PHP in PA

Table of Contents

What Is a Partial Hospitalization Program?

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a structured treatment program designed for individuals who require a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services but do not need inpatient hospitalization. Offered during the day, a PHP program allows individuals to receive intensive support for mental illness, substance use disorder, or co-occurring conditions and then return home in the evenings. This model creates a supportive environment for healing while maintaining everyday responsibilities.

At MPower Wellness in Pennsylvania, our PHP is led by a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health care professionals, physicians, and our medical director. The program emphasizes the development of coping skills to help clients manage symptoms related to depression, anxiety, stress, and other mental health issues. Each person’s treatment is personalized based on clinical factors that help determine the safest and most effective course of care.

In alignment with the Pennsylvania Department of State’s Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, we ensure our clinical practice upholds the highest standards for safety and quality in behavioral health care.

Who Can Benefit from a PHP Treatment Program in Pennsylvania?

A partial hospitalization program is ideal for individuals who are struggling with persistent mental health issues, SUD, or emotional challenges that require structured support but not 24/7 supervision. It’s often recommended for those stepping down from inpatient treatment or who need more intensive care than traditional outpatient therapy can offer.

Clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance abuse may feel overwhelmed trying to maintain their daily life while coping with these challenges. Through MPower’s partial hospitalization program in Pennsylvania, individuals receive individualized support in a therapeutic setting where they can learn to manage their symptoms and regain stability.

Our team of licensed mental health care professionals, overseen by a dedicated medical director, helps assess whether PHP is the appropriate level of care based on safety, clinical needs, and individual concerns. The program offers structured therapy, medication oversight, and practical skill-building in a supportive environment, empowering participants to begin their recovery journey with clarity and confidence.

Evidence-Based Therapies

We use clinically proven, evidence-based therapies that support long-term recovery and emotional stability. Drawing from best practices supported by organizations like the American Medical Association (AMA) and leading university research centers, our PHP blends therapeutic modalities like CBT, DBT, individual, and group therapy. Each approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of every client, helping them build confidence, emotional resilience, and lasting wellness.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy gives clients one-on-one time with a licensed clinician to explore personal challenges, set goals, and process experiences in a safe, confidential space. Whether addressing unresolved trauma, coping skills, or co-occurring conditions, this form of treatment is a core component of our PHP.

Family Therapy

Family counseling is an essential part of our PHP. Involving family members in the treatment process improves communication, rebuilds trust, and provides critical education on supporting a loved one’s healing.

Group Therapy

Group therapy fosters connection, accountability, and shared healing. Through guided conversations, skill-building activities, and peer support, patients learn they’re not alone in their struggles. Our PHP includes weekly group counseling sessions, where clients gain insights from others’ experiences and build lasting support networks that continue long after treatment ends.
